Jesus had just taught in Luke 14 that you could not be his disciple without giving up everything you own.
I would say that one of the things we prize the most, we love to own… our dreams, visions, and ambitions.
But a disciple is a FOLLOWER of Christ which means we FOLLOW His dreams, visions, and ambitions.
And he makes them clear in Luke 15 and in many other places. He came to SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST.
Sometimes we need to leave the 99.
Your friends & family won’t always share your enthusiasm. Go anyway.
Sometimes we need to sweep the house.
You won’t always WANT to put in the effort. Put it in anyway.
Sometimes we need to wait with open arms.
Sometimes the waiting will be more than you can bear… keep praying anyway. Prepare your heart for the homecoming.
WE ALWAYS CELEBRATE when someone comes home.
If people meeting Jesus and coming home to Him doesn’t get you fired up, theret’ something wrong in your spirit. It’s time to pray and realign our hearts with God’s.
